Silent Echoes
A Poem by H.C. DeBoard
In the shadows of a war-torn past,
A brother falls, his silence vast.
The echoes of a soldier’s cry,
A life cut short, a question why.
The truth is buried, deep in lies,
A web of power, where justice dies.
But one man stands, a heart aflame,
To seek the truth, to speak the name.
With every step, the darkness grows,
As Tad unravels what no one knows.
Through webs of greed and silent schemes,
He fights for those who lost their dreams.
For Ryan’s voice, now still and cold,
He chases whispers, the story untold.
A world of lies, a world of pain,
But justice calls, and he won’t refrain.
In shadows deep, where secrets hide,
The cost of truth is steeped in pride.
Yet still, the fight for justice rings,
A soldier’s heart, the hope it brings.
For all who’ve fallen, for all who bleed,
For every soul who’s lost in need,
The echoes of their lives remain—
Silent, yet they call again.
So rise and stand, and take the toll,
For truth is worth the weight of soul.
In Silent Echoes, justice speaks,
And a warrior’s fight is never weak.
